What is Melsy?
MELSY stands for Manual Egg Lift Systems, the most reliable and cost effective semi-automatic transfer of eggs.
Developed with the egg industry in mind, the complete MELSY solution consists of :
– one or more egg lifting heads complete with suction cups
– vacuum pump 230V-1Ph-50/60 Hz
Stainless steel casing with incorporated ON/OFF switch is optional.
Fittings and flexible air hoses are optional.
How Melsy works
- The operator places the cups of the egg lifting head over the eggs to be transferred
- The operator closes the air flow by pressing with his thumb and positions the eggs onto the tray or basket where the eggs have to be deposited
- The operator releases the eggs by opening the air flow in the egg lifting head, releasing his thumb
… and the operator restarts at step 1

Melsy’s unique feature: Modular Design
The Melsy egg lifter head consists of various manifolds put together to the configuration you wish to work. 6, 10-12, 15-18, 20-24, 30, 36 or 42 eggs.
This unique design provides you with the following advantages:
- You can add or remove the manifolds to get the configuration you need
- You can replace an eventually damaged part of the egg lifter manifold without the need to purchase a new egg lifter head

One operator can handle up to 20.000 eggs per hour, depending on the size of the egg lifting head, the type of packaging used and his/her dexterity.
It can also be used to load eggs onto the roller conveyors of egg washing, egg grading and egg breaking machines.
